We finally go the Elmo Ball!

If you are around us much and ever do to Wal Mart with us, you know that we have spent an outragous amount of money on the ball machine outside of Wal Mart. Nate loves those machines and this one has an Elmo ball in it. Everytime we got there we have to try to win the ball. We have seriously spend a ton of money on this thing. Last night, Brad and Nate went to Wal Mart and I stayed home to wash the dishes. When they got home, Nate comes running in and says "mommy look!" I turn around and he is standing there with the biggest grin on his face and says "daddy and deet win Elmo ball!" He seriously looked like he had won a million dollars. The rest of the night he kept saying "daddy and deet win elmo ball." It was so cute. I thought that we would be done with that machine and could save some money but he had already told me that there is an Ernie ball in there to!

Today we went to the pet fair with Reese and Nate. Brad did not think that going to a pet fair with a 2 year old and a 100lb dog sounded fun but I assured him that it would be loads of fun! So, off all four of us went. Nate and Reese both had so much fun. Reese loved barking at all of the dogs and Nate loved everything about it. Nate jumped in the bouncy house, chased after the dog in the kennels and rode his first pony. That was his favorite part of the day. The pony's name was Dolly and he kept saying "yee haw Dolly". We were waiting in line for Reese to get a bath and Nate started crying. I went over to see what was wrong and he had his hands over his face. I pulled his hand down and his eye was bleeding. His eyeBALL was bleeding. So, off we headed to the ER. Keep in mind that we had a 100 lb dog with us. Brad dropped me and Nate off at the ER and took Reese home and then came back to the hospital. The dr said that Nate's eye looked ok and Nate passed the vision test. He gave us some antibiotic drops and Nate has to see the eye dr on Monday.

Tonight we went to the LLL meeting. Like always, I let Nate pack a bag of toys to take to share. Only, sharing he would not do. Not his toys, not the other kids toys! He had a full blown fit! We are talking threw himself on the floor, kickign screaming fit! I made his sit in time out and told him that if he would not share his toys we would have to go home. As soon as he got down another fit began. So, we packed up his toys and left!

I am really hoping that he is cutting teeth and that this is not the new Nate personality!

Meet Glub Glub

Meet our newest addition to our family. Glub Glub the fish (yes, Nate named it). Nana and Pap got it for Nate for his birthday.

Slept all night in his big boy bed!

I put Nate to bed last night after we got home from the fireworks and he was so tired. He usually wakes up about halfway throught the night and asks to come in our bed. I woke up several times (like 7 or8!) throughout the night and would go check on him and he would be sleeping away. He finally woke up at 6:30 am! His first full night in his big boy bed. Also, his first night to sleep through the night! Yes that is right, my two year old does not sleep through the night yet!

Amen!

We went to church today which is always an adventure with Nate. It is just too long and too crowded for him to sit still in. Today, he did pretty good and was pretty quite. Of course, he was climbing up and down the pew and over the kneeler but if he is not screaming or running down the isle I think we are doing good! At one point the priest said amen and Nate says "amen priest"! I thought the little old lady behind us was going to die!

I cannot believe that at 12:22 pm 2 years ago we were just meeting Nate for the first time! Where did those two years go? It seems crazy that my baby is now two! It seems like I was just laying in the hospital bed waiting to meet his beautiful face. I will never forget the love that I felt the first time that they held him up for me to see. I never knew that I could love someone like I love Nate. He truely is my whole world. I hope that someday all of his dreams and prayers come true.

There is nothing better than waking up to that sweet little face asking for a kiss and telling you that he loves you. There is nothing better than the sound of his giggle when you tickle him. There is nothing better than the look on amazement when he is learning something new. There is nothing better than hearing him say "mommy" in his sweet little baby voice.
