Yep, apparently that is what are saying happened today. We had an inland hurricane. It was the scariest thing I have ever seen. Winds got up to nearly 110 miles an hour. I was at work in Marion and Brad was at home (actually at the dump but that is another story). Nate was at daycare. Thankfully, daycare had a basement and that is where the kids were. Ms Sue said that Nate had so much fun playing in the basement. She said that he wasn't scared at all. After the storm was over I came home. It took me 45 minutes to get home (normally 10 minutes). There were trees and power lines down everywhere. The closer I got to Herrin the worse it was. I could not get to daycare because all the roads were covered in trees. As you can imagine, I was in a state of panic. I finally had to park and walk two blocks to get to Nate. I walked in and Nate said "hi, Mommy". This is what daycare looked like!
We are going to have to get a new fence, part of our roof fixed and our tree out front came down, so a new tree.
