My Silly Boy

Nate has started wanting to wash the dishes. Tonight after we ate supper, he pulled up a chair, turned on the water and pretended to wash the dishes. It never gets old either. About 20 minutes after he started he looked up and said "bath" and started trying to climb into the sink. I laughed and told him that he could not take a bath in the sink and he said please in his sweet little voice. Of course, you know what happened next...

The next American Idol

Tonight Nate had his microphone and was singing. His song went like this..."Oh, my Mama. Oh, my Reese (beese). Ohhhhh, Daddy"
How cute is that?!?!

Make a wish!

Today Grammy and Grampy came up to help me with Nate. I have strep throat now and feel horrible. By the end of the day I was feeling somewhat better and Nate wanted to go outside. He always picks us dandelions when we are outside and now he has learned how to blow the old ones. How sweet does he look?

Nate loves his mommy!

Grammy took Nate today to buy me some roses. Nate picked these out all on his own. Mom said that there was no convincing him to get any other color. I told him that he was the first boy to every buy me blue roses :) One dozen red and blue roses. They are beautiful!

I am a horrible mom!

Nate is still not feeling well. I stayed home with him on Monday, took him to daycare on Tuesday (they called me at 3 and said he was feeling bad) and stayed home with him today. He was acting like he felt bad today so I took him to the dr. He has a double ear infection, strep throat and nearly has impetigo on his face! I feel like the worse mother in history. He truely did not act like he felt bad. He would run a fever at night, but he always runs a fever at night when he is the least little bit sick. And, he always runs a fever when he just has a cold. Wow, I get mom of the year award! They gave him an antibiotic (only the second in his life). This is his first ear infection. He didn't even ever pull at his ears. I hope he starts feeling better soon. From now on, I will be taking him to the dr when he first shows signs on being sick. Poor little guy!

Easter with Grammy and Grampy

After church we drove down to KY to have Easter with Grammy and Grampy. We meet them at Old Charley's. Aunt Ellen, Emily and Amy and Amy's boyfriend Michael was there too. I think that Nate is started to feel bad because the drive down was not good. He cried about half of the way. When we got there he perked up and entertained everyone. He was sitting in my lap and the waitress was bringing our drinks and she spilt a whole glass of water all in mine and Nate's lap. That did not make him happy at all. So, we had to take off his cute Easter outfit. Luckily, Aunt Ellen had given him a shirt for Easter so we had something to put on him. He got gifts from everyone. He got a DVD with Barney, Bob and Thomas on it from Aunt Ellen so of course he loved that. He also got Barney cookie cutters and he kept kissing them. Grammy and Grampy gave him a bucket full of stuff. One gift from them was a Thomas book with a phone. He really liked that and "talked to Thomas" all the way home.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! We have two good boys so the Easter bunny stopped by our house and left lots of baskets and eggs. Nate loves his bubble mower! He has pushed it around the house all day. Tonight when he went to sleep he had to "park" it next to the bed! He didn't get into looking for the eggs that the bunny hid around the living room. When I told him that the Easter bunny left his basket he started sniffing and wrinkling his nose (like a rabbit!) And, of course Reese got a basket too!

We went to church and Nate had his cute Easter outfit on. He wouldn't look at the camera though. He did really well in church (thanfully because it was packed). He is still running a low grade temp but acts like he feels fine. I hope everyone had a great Easter!

Easter with Nana and Pap

Today we went to have Easter with Nana and Pap. Aunt Jean, Great Grandma, Uncle Lance and Aunt Jenny were there too. Nate started running a fever while we were there so I hope he is not getting sick. He didn't act sick. He ran around and played all day. Of course, he loved the dogs. The little dogs, Kiki and Molly are not too sure about him. And poor Brandy (Aunt Jean's 13 year old dog) was really not to sure about him! Nate got lots of goodies from everyone!

Making Easter eggs

We made two different kinds of eggs. We first took plastic eggs and put the plastic wrappers around them. You dip them in hot water and the wrappers shrink around the egg. Grammy got Nate sports wrappers and he loved them. We also dyed eggs. Nate keep saying "wow, look" while we were doing them. He also thought they were balls and tried to throw them!

Easter with Grandpa and Grandma

Today we went to Brad's dad's house and had Easter. Pam's granddaughters and new grandson was there too. Nate had so much fun playing with them and looking at the baby. Great Grandma, Great Grandpa, Uncle Josh, Uncle Jack, Uncle Lance and Aunt Jenny were there too. Nate loves playing dress up so he loved playing with the girls. He really like dress up shoes (which his daddy does NOT like). The kids had an Easter egg hunt (Nate's first). Nate didn't get the concept of finding the eggs. He found a few but either re-hid them or gave them to Ali or Sydney. He liked picking up rocks and putting them in his basket better. So, he had an Easter rock hunt. We ate a good dinner and then opened easter baskets. Nate was so tired when we got home and went right to sleep.
