Snow Day!

We woke up this morning to snow! Yay! Snow day for Mommy and Nate! Nate liked to watch the snow out the window and of course, Reese loved to run in it. When Daddy got home today we bundled up Nate and took him outside. He had so much fun and screamed when it came time to take him back in. I really hate cold weather and snow but I had so much fun watching Nate have fun in it!

Nate's new favorite thing to play with

He loves puzzles. He will sit and play with them longer than any other toy that he has. He is really good at putting them together too.

Nate is so smart

He will now count and say one, two without you saying one first. Only he says "dum, twoooo." It is so cute. Sometimes he says "dum bum, twoooo." I love this little boy!

Nate loves Thomas!

As most of you know, Nate is addicted to Thomas the Train. It all started out one Saturday about four months ago. We did not allow Nate to watch much tv and he did not ever get to just sit and watch tv. He may look at the tv in passing but we never turned on the tv for him to watch. One Saturday Nate did not feel well and I was rocking him in the recliner. I was flipping through the channels and noticed Thomas the Train was on. I felt bad for him because he was sick so I turned in to that channel. He was mesmerized! He sat completely still for the whole 30 minutes! Well, it is now an addiction and the creator of Thomas has gotten rich off of us. We have to read Thomas, watch Thomas and play with Thomas everyday! Here is a pic of Nate watching Thomas this morning.

Nate loves Spaghetti!

Look at his sweet face! We had spaghetti tonight which is one of Nate's favorite meals. But, tonight he wasn't really sure if he wanted to eat it or play in it!

Went to St Louis today

We had to go to St Louis today to see Brad's dr. Nate went with us. He likes riding in the new truck. We turned his car seat forward facing and he can see out the windows so he really likes it. He "read" his books most of the way up there. We stopped and ate at the Olive Garden for lunch. Nate loved playing in the waiting room and showed out for all the other people that were waiting. Brad is going to have to have surgery so I wanted to go back and talk to the dr so of course Nate had to go back with us. When the dr was looking at Brad Nate kept asking "whats that" and pointing at Brad. If you know what Brad is having surgery for you will see the humor in this. The ride home was long. We stopped for ice cream which is a real treat for Nate because I don't ever let him eat sweets. He loved it! Brad will be scheduled for surgery soon so keep us in your prayers.

Daddy got a new truck!

Brad got a new truck today. Actually, it is a trail blazer and only new to us! His truck was acting crazy and would not run after it rained. We had put about $400 in it and it still was not fixed so it was time for something new. So, he found a red trail blazer that is in really good condition and we took it. I am worried that Nate will be sad with the truck being gone. He loved looking out the back window and could hear when Brad pulled into the daycare parking lot. I know, I am crazy and I am sure that he will not even notice!

Happy New Year 2009!

Happy New Year! My New Year's revolution this year is to cut out sugar (candy, cake, doughnuts, etc) from my diet and to limit the amount of high fructose corn syrup that my family eats. Ask me in a couple of days how I am doing :)

Uncle Lance and Aunt Jenny came down today and Daddy and Uncle Lance went to Indiana to look at a truck. The girls and Nate went shopping and out to eat!

I hope everyone had a great New Year's Day. I hope that 2009 is a great year for everyone.
