Happy Halloween!

Today I got off early so we could get ready to take Nate trick or treating. We were not sure if he would wear his costume or not! He loved it! First we went to the Civic Center to get a map of placed in town to go. While we were walking down the sidewalk, Nate was waving at the cars that were going down the road. Then we went to the hospital to see the people that Daddy's work with. Nate got to taste his first sucker. He LOVED it! Then we went to see Ms Sue and Mr Bob.

Nate had not had a nap all day (I guess he was too excited) so after those three stops we headed home. We put on Reese's elephant costume and tried to get a pic. The only pic I was able to get did not turn out to good. Nate is crying and Reese is without his truck, tail and one ear! We had about six kids come to our house and Nate liked to see their costumes. Tommarow night after church we are going to the truck or treat in the church parking lot.

Mommy and Daddy's date night!

Tonight we went out on a non baby date! It was the fourth time we have been out without Nate but the first time that we have been out at Nate's bedtime. Grammy and Grampy came up and we all went to eat lunch and to the apple orchard. Nate loved the orchard and ate an apple while we were there. Then we came home and changed clothes for our date.

Nate was playing and I kissed him goodby and...of course cried. I was so worried that he would cry at bedtime since he is still nursing himself to sleep. He waved and off we went. We went to Applebee's and ate dinner then had a little bit of time before the movie started. So, we went and bought Nate a train for being a good boy during date night.

We went to the movies (first time since Nate has been born) and seen Pride and Glory. It was okay but alittle too much cursing and blood for me. But Colin Ferrel was in it so it couldn't be too bad! As soon as the movie was over we headed home. I couldn't wait to get home and see Nate.

We walked in the door and Nate was asleep in Grammy's arms in the recliner. I picked him up and he started pulling at my shirt. We went to bed and he laid on top of me and fell back asleep. Grammy said that Nate didn't cry at all but Grampy said he cried just a little.

So, Nate had a fun night with Grams and Gramps and Mommy and Daddy had a good date night!

Went to eat with Nana and Grandma

Tonight we all went to eat dinner with Nana and Grandma. We went to O'Charley's, which is one of my favorites. When we first got there, Nate thought he could see my mom. There was a lady sitting next to us that had hair that looked like my mom. Nate could not see her face. He kept pointing and saying "guh". I told him that it was not Grammy but he really thought it was. The lady finally turned around and he got to see her face and see that it was not Grammy.

Nate was glad to see Nana and Grandma and had fun eating and talking to them. He ate alot! Two rolls, all of my crutons, a cucumber, manderin oranges and alittle bit of his chicken. When he got finished he was playing at the table and the next thing I know he had thrown his plate in the floor. It broke into a million pieces!

Nate and I went to the front of the restaurant to play and there was newborn baby out there. Nate wanted to see it and touch it. He kept saying "awww". It was so sweet!

Back to work and school

Today we went back to work and school after our vacation. Mommy was not looking forward to dropping Nate off at daycare for the whole day. When we got there Nate got right down and started playing with his friends! But, when I got my goodby kiss he started crying! He stood in the middle of the room and cried! It broke my heart. When I got in my car I realized that I had left his cup of milk in my car so I had to go back in. I was dreading the sad goodby again but he had already stopped crying. This time I got a smile and a wave goodby:) It is amazing how sad it still makes me to leave him at daycare 13 months after I have went back to work. Ms. Sue told me that he had a great day when I picked him up.

We went and had Nate's 15 months pictures made today. He is such a cute model and loves to have his pics taken. These are some of my favorite pics.

Daddy's surgery

Brad has his surgery today. We had to be at the hospital at 6:15 am so we had to leave our house at 5:30 am! Luckily Nate slept good last night. We had to take him to the hospital since the daycare does not open until 7:30. So, off all three of us went. Nate did pretty well considering what time he had to wake up. He was talking and a little old lady across the hallway was waving at him. When the daycare opened I took him in. He was so glad to see his friends. When I picked him up, Ms. Sue said that he played good and was glad to be back for a little while. Brad's surgery went well and we are back home from the hospital.

This afternoon Nate and I went to the park to play. Nate loves playing at the park. He is fearless. He climbs up the stairs and slides by himself and was turning the merry go round. We went to see the ducks and he would walk right up to them. He got so mad when we left that he threw his hat down and started stomping his feet :) He has his daddy's temper!

Our trip to the zoo!

We went to the Saint Louis Zoo today. Nate had a fever yesterday and didn't feel well so I let him sleep in today. After he woke up we got ready and left for the day. Nate stayed awake for the whole car ride up there! We got lost and me and Nate looked at all the huge houses. We found some that we would like to live in one day. When we finally made it to the zoo, Nate was tired. He did so good though. He didn't really want to get down and see the animals at first but finally did We seen a baby elephant nursing and I missed getting a picture! Nate clapped when I told him the elephant was drinking it's Mommy's milk! Nate liked the monkey and the penquines the most. He liked petting the goat too and hugged and kissed some of them. We rode on the train and Nate loved that. He nearly fell asleep! After we seen all the animals we went to the gift shop. I really wanted to get Nate a stuffed animal but he didn't like any of them. We finally found a stuffed train that made a train sound that he liked. When we left the zoo we went to see Uncle Josh and Uncle Jake play football. Nate loves football and kept saying "touchdown". Nate slept all the way home!

Nate's day with Daddy!

Today Nate stayed home with Brad all day! I went to work and Nate and Brad got up early and went to the hospital for Brad's blood work for his surgery. Then they went to McDonald's for lunch. I allowed McDonalds because it was "Daddy Day". I did tell Brad, "no fries." Brad called later and said that I was going to be mad because they gave Nate fries instead of apples and it was too busy to go up there and complain. Then Brad said he was carrying Nate to the truck and Nate was "hugging" him. Brad thought it was so sweet until he realized that Nate was drinking his sweet tea. So, fries and sweet tea all in one day!

Nate was running a fever today. I think it was from his MMR shot from the previous week. Brad said that he didn't eat much and just wanted to be held. I got home from work and Nate snuggled with me until bedtime. Nate and Daddy had a good "daddy day."

The Pumpkin Patch!

Today we went to the pumpkin patch. Nate had so much fun. He ran through all the rows of pumpkins trying to find the "perfect" one! He would pick them up (even the big ones). We ended up buying six pumpkins that he picked out. There was a kids barn that he played in. He really liked the bins of corn to play in and the slide.
